A website should evolve for the same reason a resume should: the people using it, the market around it, and the questions it needs to answer all change over time.
That is exactly what has been happening at Travis Koehler Writing, LLC.
Over the past several years, my work has expanded well beyond simply writing resumes. Clients come to me with questions about LinkedIn, interviews, career transitions, professional branding, AI in the hiring process, job-search strategy, and how to communicate decades of experience in a way that still feels relevant to today's employers.
The new TK Writing website is being built to reflect that broader reality.
It still begins with professional resume writing. But the larger goal is to give professionals a place where they can better understand how the different pieces of a modern job search fit together, and get direct, one-on-one help when they need it.

There was a time when a resume could carry much more of the job search on its own. Today, an employer may encounter you in several places before you ever have a conversation. Eventually, an interview requires you to explain the accomplishments and decisions behind everything in those materials.

Professional Resume Writing remains a core service. TK Writing currently provides resume development through direct consultation and targeting, with the finished document supplied in Word and PDF formats and a built-in review and revision period. But the new site gives visitors considerably more information about what happens before those final documents are created.

What would you do differently?
That is where the written career story has to become a spoken one. TK Writing already combines resume development with interview coaching, and current client feedback on the site specifically references the value of mock interview preparation alongside resume work. The redesigned site makes that relationship much clearer.

I also wanted the website to offer a useful entry point for someone who isn't yet ready to hire a professional resume writer. That is why the Free Professional Resume Assessment has become a more significant part of the site. Sometimes a resume genuinely needs rebuilding. Sometimes it needs more focused changes. Sometimes the resume isn’t the primary reason a job search is struggling.
The assessment is intended to provide perspective before someone makes that decision. Rather than relying only on an automated score, the goal is to consider professional positioning, accomplishments, career progression, readability, ATS considerations, and how clearly the existing document communicates the person's value.
The current TK Writing site already lets visitors submit a resume for a complimentary assessment; the expanded website gives that service a clearer purpose within the overall career-development process.
More Nashville. Without Limiting the Career.
TK Writing is based in the Greater Nashville area, and the redesigned website places greater emphasis on that local connection. But being a Nashville-based professional no longer means competing only for Nashville jobs. Local professionals work for national and international companies. They pursue remote positions. They manage territories far beyond Tennessee. They compete for leadership roles with candidates across the country.
That is why I wanted the new Nashville Resume Writer content to reflect both sides of the business: Local accessibility. National perspective. Working with a local professional can provide the benefit of direct connection and familiarity with the Middle Tennessee market. The career materials themselves, however, need to compete wherever the opportunity exists.
Built for the Way Professionals Search Today
Another reason for the redesign is this: The way people find information is changing. Traditional Google search still matters. But professionals increasingly ask questions directly through ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI-assisted search experiences.
They are not always typing:

They may ask:
"How do I know if my resume is good?"

What Hasn't Changed
Despite the new pages, expanded resources, and broader career-services strategy, the most important part of TK Writing has not changed. You still work directly with me. There is no anonymous writing team. No handoff after the initial call. The process remains personal because careers are personal.
Two professionals can have the same title and completely different stories. One may be known for turning around underperforming operations. Another may develop exceptional people. Another may build markets. Another may translate technical complexity into business decisions.
Professional career writing doesn’t force those people into the same template. It is to uncover what their experience actually proves. TK Writing currently emphasizes this owner-led, one-to-one model along with more than 20 years of corporate experience and years of certified resume writing and interview coaching work.
